I promised that in this blog I would talk about my life experiences as a working psychic. One of the things that happens over and over is that, as soon as someone learns what I do for a living, that someone immediately ask me for a reading. It comes in the form of, "What can you tell me about myself?" "Do you think I'm going to marry ______ ( fill in the blank with a name )?" "Can you tell me something about myself that you couldn't possibly know?" I usually have to take a deep breath, and restrain myself from saying, "Yes, I can. You are rude for one thing. Do you ask a doctor to diagnose you at a party? Do you ask a lawyer you meet in an elevator for free legal advise? Wait, let me consult my crystal ball. No. You do not. So why on earth do you think it's ok to ask ME to work for free???" I stopped being surprised by people's rudeness years ago. So now I just grin at them and give them the pat answer which is, "Yes."
The next thing that usually happens is the person's eyes open REALLY wide, I see the "oh crap, she can read my mind!!!" look come into their eyes and they literally take a step backward. Then they stand there looking at me, looking at the ground, the sky, anything passing by, then back to me.
So here it is. No, I don't work for free and, quite frankly, it's rude that you would expect me to. No, I don't read your mind when I meet you. I do get gut instincts and a download of information but so do you. Yes, I do know if you're telling me the truth or not. No, I'm not "always turned on" by CHOICE. I choose to live my life like any other "human being". Yes, I listen to my gut and let it guide me.
Feel free to ask me questions about what life is like. I'd be happy to answer them...for the most part! :)
